Another Sky is a London-based festival and artistic platform celebrating experimental music from the SWANA (South West Asia & North Africa) region and diaspora. 2026 is our third festival edition. Join us in listening, in watching, in dancing and in connecting across multiple days and nights. We present composed, improvised and electronic music; short films and moving-image works; new commissions; workshops and an independent label & publisher fair.

Another Sky is co-directed by Sam Salem أسامة سالم (composer; co-founder Distractfold Ensemble; RNCM) and Emily Moore (Southern Bird artist management & production).
Please do get in touch with Sam and Emily if you would like to share your music. We would love to hear from you.

Our 2023-24 film programmes were curated and led by Saeed Taji Farouky سعيد تاجي الفاروقي, a filmmaker, writer and curator who has been making work on themes of conflict, human rights and colonialism since 2004.

Friday 17 April Evening: Faster than light, alwaysMosaic Rooms

226 Cromwell Road, SW5 0SW Doors 7pm

Faster than light, always is a sound and choreography piece commissioned by Wonder Cabinet, bringing together British-Palestinian movement artist Sasha Shadid ساشا شديد, Palestinian movement artist Adan Azzam عدن عزام and Ramallah-based interdisciplinary artist Julmud جُلموْد. It is part of Wonder Cabinet’s ongoing body of work exploring the Cremisan Valley through architectural, sonic, visual and ecological investigations. The performance speaks to the aesthetics of the Cremisan Valley and to the ways in which occupation forces have been encroaching upon one of the last remaining green spaces around Bethlehem, further suffocating its community. More broadly, it uses the body as a medium for claiming the land, embodying its ample and smooth curves, its terraces, and the bearing trees it cradles. Wonder Cabinet presented this production developed in the framework of Sounds of Places 2024, an annual residency-based sound gathering exploring the sonic aesthetics of place initiated and curated by Wonder Cabinet and transmitted through Radio AlHara.Following its development in Palestine, the performance is now co-presented in London by Mosaic Rooms and Another Sky.The performance will take place in Mosaic Rooms’ garden (weather permitting).
This event is free, but entry is not automatically included with your festival pass.
RSVP directly with Mosaic Rooms is essential; please follow this link.
