Annemarie Jacir is a Palestinian director, writer, producer, educator and curator who has been making films since 2001. Like Twenty Impossibles was the first Arab short to be selected for the Cannes Film Festival, and Jacir has since written and directed three feature films, and recently wrapped principal filming on her fourth. She is the founder of Philistine Films, an independent production company dedicated to Arab cinema, and the co-founder of the Bethleham-based artist space Dar Yusuf Nasri Jacir for Art & Research.
